Yesterday we paid a visit to the South Australian Maritime Museum in Port Adelaide. It was really interesting to read about the passenger ships that carried immigrants to South Australia back in the early days of English colonization. The museum’s main feature was a life sized ketch, a type of small ship, that visitors could walk around in. They also had an incredible feature where South Australian visitors could enter their last name in a database and see if their ancestors are in the passenger logs. Overall, it was a great way to spend a rainy day and take a break from studying.
